What:
The 31st Annual National Night Out event will be held tonight. Various vendors, neighborhood watch groups and Sheriff’s Office units will join the Pinellas Park Police Department at tonight’s event in an effort to strengthen neighborhood spirit and police/community partnerships.

Where:
The National Night Out event will be held in the parking lot of the Target store located at 7150 US 19 North in Pinellas Park.

When:
The 31st Annual National Night Out event will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2014. The event starts at 5:00 p.m. and ends at 8:00 p.m.

How/Why:
The 31st Annual National Night Out event is being held tonight, Tuesday, August 5, 2014 beginning at 5:00 p.m. The National Night Out event, hosted by the Pinellas Park Police Department, will take place in the parking lot of the Target store located at 7150 US 19 North in Pinellas Park.

Members of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Flight unit, Marine unit, Environmental Lands unit, SWAT and Crime Stoppers will be present during the event along with a variety of Sheriff’s Office vehicles that will be on display.

National Night Out is designed to:

  • Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness.
  • Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs.
  • Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police/community partnerships.
  • Send a message to criminals, letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back against crime.

Come join in the festivities and meet members of local Neighborhood Watch groups, the Pinellas Park Police Department, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office and other local law enforcement agencies.
