Deputies assigned to the Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) are investigating a crash which occurred at 77th Avenue and Blind Pass Road.
At approximately 1:33 p.m. Adam Keehnle was crossing the street, in a marked crosswalk, from the east side of Blind Pass Road at 77th Avenue to the west side. Jason Kingsley was heading northbound in the median lane along Blind Pass Road in a Toyota Scion when the crash occurred.
Keehnle was transported Bayfront Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Kingsley was not injured.
Alcohol and drug impairment are not factors in the crash.
Although the investigation is ongoing, there are no criminal charges pending.
