Detectives assigned to the Narcotics Division have arrested a Clearwater man in connection to a grow house operation located at his residence.
When:
Detectives uncovered the grow house operation and arrested the suspect in the evening hours of Tuesday, June 3, 2014.
Where:
Detectives discovered the grow house operation at a private residence located at 1412 S. Keene Road in unincorporated Clearwater.
Why/How:
According to detectives, the investigation began in early March after they received a tip of a possible grow house at a private residence located at 1412 S. Keene Road in unincorporated Clearwater.
Detectives continued their investigation and through various investigative techniques, identified the suspect as 41-year-old Grey L. Lopez.
Detectives assigned to the Narcotics Division met with Lopez on the evening of Tuesday, June 3, 2014 and Lopez gave consent to search his residence. Upon entry, detectives discovered evidence of a grow house operation. During a search of the residence, 133 marijuana plants were seized and removed from the home.
Lopez was arrested and charged with 1 count Manufacture of Marijuana and 1 count of Trafficking in Marijuana. Lopez was transported to the Pinellas County Jail without further incident.
