Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide Unit are investigating a shooting in Kenneth City that left the alleged suspect dead and two others with serious injuries.
When:
The shooting occurred on the evening of Sunday, December 22, 2013.
Where:
The shooting occurred at a private residence located at 4806 58th Street in Kenneth City.
Why/How:
Detectives assigned to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit are continuing the investigation into a shooting that left one man dead and two others injured.
According to detectives, on the evening of Sunday, December 22, 2013 the alleged suspect, now identified as 38-year-old Gjon Hila showed up at the home at 4806 58th Street in Kenneth City. Once inside the suspect shot and injured 52-year-old Tonin Poti and 38-year-old Gzim Rrgalla, who were inside the home.
Deputies say a neighbor, 28-year-old Elton Pati (Tonin Poti’s son) came to assist and shot Hila, wounding him fatally.
Tonin Pati and Rrgalla were transported to Bayfront Medical Center by ambulance for treatment of life threatening injuries.
The investigation continues.
